If you are interested in increasing your Internet sales, you may be wondering what is video skinning and how can it help me. Video skinning is in fact a way in which to help you make more money as an affiliate marketer. It is a different technique from what has been used in the past.
It is extremely interesting and can offer incredible results if done properly. Of course, there are many things that you need to know before attempting it.
The point of this formula is to bypass a certain step in the Internet sales process. Normally, you pick a product that you want to promote and either do so by way of a pay per click campaign, article marketing, or any other form of reaching the target audience. Of course, the technique you choose is completely up to you and the business model you are following.
After you have picked a product that you believe has the potential to sell easily, you either bring these visitors to your website, or the sales page of the merchant. In this particular formula, you will bypass the sales page of the merchant. Instead, you will have replaced it with a video that you make by yourself.
There are several reasons why you would bypass the merchant’s sales letter. For one thing, they can be a little long and a little bit boring for readers. But, if you take the time to make a professional video and get to the point quickly, you can certainly increase your sales without any fear of losing potential buyers.
The key with this is to sum it all up and reduce the amount of time the buyer would have to spend reading. Normally, a sales page can take up to 10 minutes for someone to read. However, a well-planned video can say everything within two or three minutes. Therefore, they convert much better than the written word can, especially online where a reader’s attention span is quite short.
You may also want to try this if you have spent a lot of time trying to presell a product that hasn’t converted well. Many times, there is something that’s lacking in the merchant’s sales letter. Even though the product is good and you believe in it, if the sales letter isn’t doing its job, it could be compromising your sales and commissions.
The fact is, there are many products out there on the market that are valuable and useful to many. Unfortunately for the sales page, many people will just not buying it. If you have done your fair share in pre-selling a product that you really believe in, driven huge amounts of traffic to it and not been successful, then maybe you should try this. Remember, however to stay true to the products and be honest in your video.
If you’re camera shy, you don’t even have to appear in the video. Instead, you can provide the viewers with a presentation using slides. You would require a software such as PowerPoint, in order to do this properly.
Please post your comments as they are valuable pieces of information to us and our readers.

Hey Keith,
I’ve just started experimenting with this exact same process and I think IT SEEMS INTIMIDATING AT FIRST.
If you feel like it’s too technical and you have to be a ‘guru’ to do it your going to be pleasantly surprised to find out how fast one person can do this by themselves.
I found TWO tools that made this possible for me to do this and I give all the credit to these tools.
1.To make to slideshow which you will convert into your video: Use the NEW powerpoint beta. It’s BETTER & FREE because it’s still in beta. Get it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/powerpoint/default.aspx
2. Second, you need a tool to turn the slideshow into a video. For this, you can use camtasia or use camstudio, a free tool I used to make my first first video (It will do everything you need it to)which you can download for free at: http://www.camstudio.org
I’m not affiliated with any of these sites either, I just want to remove the invisible barriers and preconceived notions some people have. You can really do this even if you’ve never made a video. just try it.
Thanks for the sweet content Keith,
-Camil
